What Kraken is offering

Kraken’s current promotions mix trading rewards, a Prop purchase discount and product updates. This September 30 review covers all eight cards together. Eligibility differs by product, and a feature announcement is not a cash bonus.

1. ANTHROPICx: a competition with a conditional prize pool

Kraken’s September competition ranks trading activity in ANTHROPICx, a perpetual derivative. A derivative is a contract linked to a reference price; this one does not buy Anthropic shares or secure an allocation in a future IPO. The company name describes the exposure, not ownership of the business.

The legal entry window runs from September 17 at 14:00 UTC to October 17 at 23:59:59 UTC. Enroll before opening a qualifying position, then complete at least $10,000 in combined opening and closing notional volume during the window. Notional means the value of the position traded, rather than the cash deposited. Trades must execute and settle within the campaign period, with required identity checks completed.

The reward pool begins at $10,000 USDG and doubles only if participants collectively reach $100 million in qualifying volume. Awards depend on ranking; the advertised $20,000 is neither an individual reward nor an unconditional pool. The rules exclude the UK, European Economic Area (EEA), US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Other participants still need eligible futures access and an account in good standing.

2. First futures trade: limited loss reimbursement

This incentive is for eligible adult individuals in the EEA who have never opened a Kraken Pro futures position. An existing Kraken account can qualify if its owner is new to that product. Enrollment must happen before the first position, which must close within seven days.

A qualifying realized loss is reimbursed in cash, up to $50, within 14 days of closing. A profitable trade produces no reimbursement. For example, an otherwise qualifying $18 loss would be covered by $18, while an $80 loss would leave $30 uncovered. These examples illustrate the cap; they are not forecasts or a reason to create a losing trade.

The public rules end the offer after 1,200 rewards. Remaining allocation is not publicly established here, so a December 31 date on a promotional card should not be read as guaranteed availability. Verification, account standing and the one-reward-per-person restriction still apply.

3. First options trade: deposit and enrollment requirements

An option has a fixed expiry and an agreed reference price, called its strike. A call benefits from a higher settlement price; a put from a lower one. Kraken’s contracts settle in dollars rather than deliver bitcoin or ether. The buyer’s option cost is called the premium; this differs from the value of the underlying exposure.

The options offer requires more than the $100 trading headline. Eligible adults with options/futures access enabled must be new to Kraken options, enroll before qualifying activity, deposit $20 in cash and trade at least $100 in options. The public rules do not clarify whether that trading threshold is measured by premium or underlying notional, so readers should use the campaign’s account-level instructions rather than assume one interpretation.

The reward arrives as bitcoin equivalent to $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100. Their stated approximate probabilities are 49%, 43%, 5%, 2% and 1%, respectively. The top amount is therefore a rare outcome, not the normal payment. Rewards are limited to one per person for life and credited within 14 days.

The UK, EEA, US and Australia are excluded, and the underlying product must also be available in the reader’s jurisdiction. Identity verification and account standing are required. The rules close enrollment when its cap is reached, without publishing the cap’s size; they do not guarantee access through December 31.

4. BTC/USD margin: a higher leverage ceiling, not a bonus

Kraken announced up to 20x BTC/USD spot margin on August 11 for eligible accounts in selected markets. Margin trading uses collateral to support a larger position. This update concerns the BTC/USD spot-margin product, not a blanket increase across every futures contract. Existing margin tools remain in place.

More leverage magnifies the effect of price movements on the trader’s capital, including losses that can exceed the initial investment. It also does not remove costs: ordinary spot transaction fees can apply alongside margin opening and rollover charges. The order form supplies the applicable rates. The announcement does not establish January 2030 as a product shutdown or a deadline for collecting a reward.

5. Silver XAG: continuous derivative access, with regional limits

PF_XAGUSD follows the Silver Pyth 24/7 Index. It is a perpetual contract settled in US dollars, not a purchase of silver bars. Trading is available around the clock except maintenance, while funding payments and transaction fees remain part of the product. A perpetual has no scheduled contract maturity; that does not make its price exposure or costs disappear.

The general specification lists leverage up to 20x, but the separate EEA specification lists a maximum Pro leverage of 10x. The latter table records first trading on September 28. The card’s headline therefore cannot be applied unchanged to every region. Readers need the specification for their own account and position size; December 31 on the card is not evidence that this perpetual matures that day.

6. Kraken Prop: higher limits on documented standard plans

Kraken Prop evaluates trading performance under defined risk rules. It should not be confused with buying assets in an ordinary investment account: Kraken describes trade signals and simulated positions, with real payouts possible from simulated performance.

The August 18 update raised the documented standard-plan limits for Bitcoin and Nasdaq 100 to 10x, with $1 million notional caps for each. S&P 500 access is also 10x, with a $2 million cap. These are exposure limits, not amounts deposited into a participant’s bank account. Existing positions retain their original leverage. Other plan variants can differ, and higher limits do not relax the evaluation’s loss rules.

7. Nasdaq 100 on Prop: index exposure without owning the shares

Nasdaq 100 access, identified as XYZ100 in the Prop documentation, originally launched on July 20. It allows continuous trading without a scheduled expiry or routine contract rollover. The later leverage update supersedes older launch figures; combining the oldest number with the newest promotion would give a misleading description.

An index represents a basket of companies, but this instrument does not deliver those shares, dividends or shareholder rights. The underlying stock market still has its own opening hours. Kraken’s documentation describes protected pricing outside those hours and warns that spreads can widen and prices can move sharply when the underlying market reopens. Continuous access does not mean identical trading conditions at every hour.

8. A 2% discount on Prop evaluation fees

Kraken’s partner description confirms an ongoing 2% discount on Prop evaluation purchases. Enter our code, j73wpf7w, at checkout and check the reduction before paying. This changes the evaluation price, not every trading charge. The code remains unchanged; campaign benefits and account eligibility are separate.

Evaluation costs and access still matter

Buying an evaluation is only the beginning of the Prop process. Kraken’s FAQ lists Canada, India and the UK as unavailable. It allows a card purchase after basic verification, but funded activation requires passing the evaluation, full identity verification, the relevant agreement and manual review. A successful checkout alone therefore establishes neither a funded account nor a payout. Evaluation fees become non-refundable once trading begins.

The documented standard-plan trading charge is 0.04% of position notional on each side, or 0.08% for opening and closing. The same fee guide describes funding of 0.033% per day, charged every four hours. Those costs affect the evaluation balance and its risk limits. They are distinct from the purchase fee that receives the discount, and should not be generalized to separate plan variants.

The comparison below separates the types of offer. It is a reading aid, not an account eligibility check or enrollment form.
