What is changing for LSK holders
OKX is ending transfers of LSK tokens through the Lisk network. Its 29 September announcement says deposits on that network have already stopped, while withdrawals will close on 6 October 2026 at 06:00 UTC. People planning to move LSK into or out of OKX using that particular network are the affected audience.
This is a change to a transfer route. OKX explicitly says LSK trading and deposits and withdrawals on its other supported chains are unaffected. The announcement does not identify those alternative chains, promise a replacement route for every account or give a reopening date. It does not announce that LSK itself is being removed from trading.
[1]Check the asset and the network separately
OKX’s support guidance describes two ways to check available routes. On the deposit or withdrawal page, choose the crypto asset and then inspect the network selector. Alternatively, open the Status page, find the deposits and withdrawals section, search for the asset and examine its operational status. These are checks of the route available for the intended action, rather than a conclusion drawn from the token’s name.
The sending and receiving platforms must support the same asset on the same network. A destination accepting a token called LSK does not, by itself, establish that it accepts the precise route selected by the sender. Consider a hypothetical transfer form offering Network A and a receiving platform supporting only Network B: matching the ticker would not resolve that mismatch. Neither invented label identifies a currently supported LSK network.
[2]Use the receiving details, not a token contract
OKX’s deposit guide distinguishes an account’s deposit address from a token contract address. A token contract identifies the asset’s contract; it is not the personal destination to which someone should send a deposit. Where contract details are supplied, comparing them helps establish whether identically named assets on two platforms are actually the same token.
The guide also says to check the minimum deposit amount and the required confirmations. A transfer can be visible on a blockchain before the receiving service credits a spendable balance. For an OKX deposit, the guide distinguishes the point at which a deposit arrives from the later confirmation requirement that can apply before withdrawal becomes available. This general explanation does not reopen the Lisk route that the new announcement has closed.
[4]Review a withdrawal before submitting it
For an available on-chain withdrawal, OKX’s app instructions start in Assets or Portfolio, followed by Withdraw. Select the crypto, destination and network, then review the address, amount and network fee. Identity verification and the security checks shown by the service are required. The withdrawal amount must meet the displayed minimum and remain within the account’s applicable limit.
The fee can differ by network. Neither the closure notice nor this article supplies a fixed LSK withdrawal charge, so the amount displayed for the actual request is the relevant figure. A published deadline is also not a guarantee that an unverified or otherwise restricted account can immediately complete a transfer. Finish the account and destination checks before treating a route as usable.
[3]Check the result at both ends
OKX’s withdrawal guide describes four stages: requested, pending, withdrawing and completed. Completed means the assets have left OKX; it does not certify that another service has credited them. The receiving platform’s records are therefore a separate part of checking the outcome.
For example, imagine a transfer marked completed by the sender while the recipient still displays a pending deposit. Those statements need not contradict each other: they describe different sides of the same movement. Keep the withdrawal record and compare it with the recipient’s deposit record instead of assuming that one screen represents the entire process. This illustration does not promise a particular processing time or a method for recovering an unsupported transfer.
