What Ondo Perps announced
Ondo Perps said on its official X account on 30 October 2026 that Fee Tiers are coming on 13 November. The idea is simple, in its own words: "The more you trade, the lower your fees will be."
Fees will scale automatically based on a trader's 14-day trading volume, and Ondo Perps says the volume from a main account and its subaccounts is counted together. There is nothing to apply for; the tier is set by the volume.
Trades from now already count
Ondo Perps says every trade made from now until 12 November at 23:59 UTC on Perps, Spot or Private Markets will count toward the Fee Tier a trader starts with at launch. So volume built up over the next two weeks decides where an account lands on day one.
Traders can already track their volume and preview the upcoming tiers under Fee Schedule on the Portfolio page of the Ondo Perps app. The announcement itself did not list the tier thresholds or the fee rates for each tier, so the app is the place to check them.
Our take
Volume tiers mainly reward active traders, but the launch rule makes the next two weeks matter. If you were going to trade on Ondo Perps anyway, doing it before 12 November helps your starting tier. Do not trade more just to chase a lower fee: check the Fee Schedule first and work out whether the saving is worth the extra volume. A discount code that cuts every fee is another way to lower costs at any volume.
