What Base published

Base, the Ethereum layer-2 network incubated by Coinbase, closed out October on 3 November 2026 with a long post on its official X account listing 25 things that launched or were announced in its ecosystem during the month. The post opens with the line "The Base ecosystem ships hard" and then runs through payments companies, banks, stablecoin issuers, tokenized-stock products and consumer apps, one line each.

Several of these items were already covered here when they happened or in Base's weekly recaps, including Ripple's RLUSD, Marqeta's stablecoin cards, Thunes payouts, FalconX's USDC credit facility, OnePay's USDC checking deposits and OpenSea Mobile. The monthly list is still useful because it shows where the month's activity clustered, and it adds a handful of launches that had not appeared in the weekly roundups. Below we group the 25 items by theme rather than repeating Base's numbering.

Payments for AI agents

Two of the first items are about software agents paying for things on their own. Mastercard launched Agent Pay for Machines with Cloudflare, which Base says lets AI agents pay for digital services using x402 on Base. x402 is an open payment standard that revives the old HTTP 402 "Payment Required" status code, so a website or API can ask for a small onchain payment before it answers a request.

Cloudflare also opened its Monetization Gateway on Base, which Base describes as letting APIs charge agents per request with settlement in USDC. In plain terms, a developer running an API behind Cloudflare could bill each call an agent makes in dollars-backed stablecoins rather than through a monthly card subscription. Credifi's new Credifi Zero product sits in the same theme: Base says anons and agents can qualify for credit with zero personal info, although the post gives no limits, rates or eligibility details.

Stablecoins, banks and checkout

The largest group of items is about moving dollars on Base. Ripple launched RLUSD on Base and is providing liquidity. Open Standard launched OUSD, with 1:1 USD conversion paths through Coinbase, Mastercard, Stripe and Visa integrations. OnePay lets users send USDC straight into their checking balance, and Bitso launched Bóvedas, DeFi vaults on its MXNB peso stablecoin and USDC powered by Morpho and curated by Gauntlet.

On the business side, Thunes is integrating stablecoins into its global payout network, Marqeta is bringing stablecoin-backed cards to enterprise customers with settlement on Base, Yuno added one-click stablecoin acceptance for merchants, and Atom now supports stablecoin checkout and seller payouts across what Base says are over 2 million domains. Gennius is bringing digital-asset services to Latin American banks with Coinbase, starting in Argentina, so banks can convert eligible deposits into ONED USD, transfer around the clock and enable Visa spending. In Japan, SMBC Nikko is building an institutional DeFi Gateway on Base, described as a regulated path for Japanese institutions into DeFi.

Lending also shows up. FalconX's USDC credit facility is live, with lenders depositing native Base USDC to earn from institutional credit, and Birch Hill launched the Groma Ecosystem Vault, where users can lend USDC backed by apartment buildings in Boston and Providence. The startup Mocha received its full $500K Y Combinator investment in USDC on Base.

Tokenized stocks everywhere

Coinbase Tokenized Stocks, onchain tokens that track shares such as Apple or Nvidia, run through a large part of the list. Pendle launched PendleLoop so users can loop long tokenized-stock positions on Aave markets and claim incentives on Merkl. Superform brought SuperNVDA and SuperTSLA to Pendle, where holders can lock in a fixed yield or position for yield upside. Exa launched what Base calls the first credit card backed by Coinbase Tokenized Stocks, letting users spend against tokenized stock collateral after linking a Coinbase account.

Luca Money extended its digital-dollar app in Latin America to tokenized stocks, and Zoth launched zMAG7, a single stablecoin deposit that holds equal weights of the seven tokenized tickers AMZNc, AAPLc, NVDAc, GOOGLc, METAc, MSFTc and TSLAc, which Base says are backed by real shares in regulated custody. Toros launched Toros Options for BTC, ETH and other assets, with positions tokenized on Base.

Consumer apps

The list ends with apps aimed at everyday users. OpenSea opened OpenSea Mobile to everyone, with memes, art, trading cards and perps on Base in one app. Tuyo rebuilt its whole banking app on Base, and DYLI launched collectible packs that users can open, trade, vault or have shipped.

What the post does not say

Base's recap is a one-line summary per project. It gives no fees, interest rates, country availability or eligibility rules, and most items link out to the partner's own account for details. Products such as tokenized stocks, credit lines and lending vaults usually carry regional restrictions and their own risks, so check each provider's terms before using them.

Our take

Read as a whole, October on Base was less about new tokens and more about plumbing: agent payments, stablecoin checkout and bank integrations, plus a steady stream of products built on tokenized stocks. If you want to try any of it yourself, the Base app is the natural starting point, and Phantom also supports Base for holding USDC and tokens in a self-custody wallet. Both are linked on this page.
