Report number 49

OKX has published its 49th consecutive monthly Proof of Reserves report. In a post on its official X account at 15:30 UTC on Monday 2 November 2026 (16:30 in Amsterdam), the exchange said the report covers reserves as of 1 November 2026 and shows $27.8 billion in primary assets, with customer assets backed at more than 1:1.

The report follows the 48th, which OKX released on 30 October when it marked four years of monthly reports. A Proof of Reserves report is meant to show that an exchange holds at least as much of each coin as its customers have on deposit, in a form customers can check themselves.

The November ratios

On its Proof of Reserves page, OKX lists the per-asset ratios for the new snapshot. Bitcoin (BTC) is backed at 108%, ether (ETH) at 101%, USDT at 106% and USDC at 100%. The page also shows XRP at 107%, DOGE at 101%, SOL at 105% and OKX's own token OKB at 100%. In total, OKX says it publishes reserve reports for 22 coins.

A ratio of 100% means OKX holds exactly as much of that coin as customers have in their accounts; anything above is a surplus. For bitcoin, the page lists 156,609 BTC in customer account assets against 169,755 BTC in OKX wallets, of which 7,163 BTC sits with third-party custodians.

Compared with the 48th report, the BTC ratio is two points lower (110% then), USDT and ETH are one point higher, and USDC is one point lower. OKX describes this month's headline figure as $27.8 billion in primary assets, while the anniversary report was described as more than $36 billion in on-chain assets, so the two totals are not presented on the same basis and should not be read as a like-for-like change.

How to check your own balance

OKX uses zk-STARK, a zero-knowledge proof method, to prove the total of customer balances without revealing individual accounts, and it verifies ownership of its on-chain wallets separately. To check that your own balance is included, OKX says you open the Proof of Reserves reports in your account, copy the report data and run it through its open-source zk-STARK Validator, which should confirm that the inclusion check passed.

OKX notes that each report is a snapshot taken at the time of data capture. Tokens outside the report's scope and transactions made after the snapshot are not included, and balances held with third-party custodians have to be confirmed with those custodians.

Our take

Monthly per-asset ratios above or at 100% are what you want to see from an exchange, and OKX keeps publishing them on schedule. A reserves report still proves assets at one moment rather than the exchange's full finances, so the most useful step is the one OKX invites you to take: verify that your own balance is in the snapshot.
