What Aster announced
Aster posted a Prediction Market Upgrade Notice on its official X account on 26 October 2026. It says that from 27 October at 09:00 UTC, order placement on Aster Prediction will be temporarily suspended while Aster upgrades the prediction system. The suspension explicitly includes API trading, so automated strategies that send orders through Aster's API are affected as well as orders placed in the app.
Aster gave no end time. The notice only says the team is working on a better Prediction experience and asks users to stay tuned for what comes next.
Background
Aster, best known for its perpetual futures exchange, launched Predictions on 15 June 2026, presenting it in an official post as a new way to trade on Aster. This week's notice is the first official word that the product is being rebuilt, and it does not describe what the upgraded version will change.
What the notice leaves open
The notice talks only about placing orders. It does not say whether existing orders will be cancelled, whether open positions can still be closed or will settle as normal, or whether deposits and withdrawals are affected. Because of that, traders who expect to change a prediction position should consider doing so before 09:00 UTC on 27 October, which is 10:00 in Amsterdam. Anyone running bots against the API should stop them before the cut-off so they do not keep sending rejected orders. Aster's official X account is the place to watch for the restart announcement.
