Two campaign updates in one morning

Aster posted two updates to its running reward campaigns on 27 October 2026. The first opens a new week of USD1 RWA Boost, the campaign that pays traders of its real-world-asset perpetual pairs quoted in the USD1 stablecoin. The second changes how Grid Liquidity Mining scores grid orders, starting the same morning.

USD1 RWA Boost: Epoch 8 numbers and a new week

According to Aster's official X account, more than 1,500 traders took part in the previous week, and the new week offers about $700,000 in USD1 and WLFI rewards. The image attached to the post sums up Epoch 8, which ran from 19 to 25 October (UTC): 1,502 active trading accounts, $3.39 billion in taker volume across 24 RWA markets, and pools of 347,222 USD1 and 6.94 million WLFI, figures Aster notes are rounded.

The same image restates how the two pools are earned. Trading builds Trading Points, which share the USD1 pool. Holding positions builds OI Points, which share the WLFI pool, and positions in Single-Asset Mode earn OI Points at twice the rate. The new week is Epoch 9, which began on 26 October, the epoch from which hidden positions stopped earning OI Points, as we reported last week.

Grid Liquidity Mining now weights open orders at 90%

Grid Liquidity Mining rewards traders who run Aster's built-in perpetual grids on eligible pairs. From 27 October 2026 at 08:00 UTC, eligible open grid orders count for 90% of the reward score, up from 70%, while eligible maker trading volume drops to 10%, from 30%. Aster says the aim is to reward genuine liquidity, and its advice is to keep grid orders close to the mark price. Pair-specific multipliers still apply, and Aster points traders to the campaign page for the current ones.

Our take

Both changes point the same way: Aster now pays more for keeping liquidity and positions on the book than for raw trading activity. For a grid trader, an order resting near the mark price matters more than how often it fills. Rewards come from fixed pools split among all participants and are paid in USD1 and WLFI, so individual payouts shrink as more traders join, and leveraged perpetual positions can lose more than the rewards bring in. Aster's posts do not say which countries are eligible, so check that on Aster before taking part.
