Grid bots join Simple Mode in Europe
OKX announced on its official X account on 23 October 2026 that grid trading has arrived in Simple Mode for users in Europe. The post describes three steps: pick an asset, set an amount and choose a style, after which the bot handles the trading. The campaign artwork sums up the idea as buy low, sell high, and carries the OKX Europe Ltd disclaimer naming the Malta Financial Services Authority as its regulator.
A grid bot places a ladder of buy orders below the current price and sell orders above it, so it buys as the price falls through each level and sells as it rises again. It tends to work best when a market moves sideways within a range. Until now, European users setting up a grid bot had to decide the price range and the number of grid levels themselves.
What Simple Mode means under OKX Europe's terms
OKX Europe's trading bot terms, which cover the spot grid bot and the spot DCA bot, define Simple Mode as an interface where the user picks a pre-configured Trading Style and OKX's algorithm sets the bot parameters within the band that style allows. The three styles named in the terms are Patient, Balanced and Active. Parameters for a grid bot include the trading pair, the amount invested, the price range and the grid levels.
The terms say the chosen parameters are presented to the user before activation, and the bot can be activated or cancelled before it starts trading. Users who prefer to set everything themselves can keep using Exchange Mode, which shows all the parameters for manual configuration. In both modes the trades are executed on the user's behalf by OKX, and the terms place the trading risk with the user.
What has not been published
The announcement does not list which assets are supported in Simple Mode, the minimum investment or the fees a grid bot pays on each filled order, and it does not explain how the price range for each style is chosen. Users should check the parameters shown on the confirmation screen before starting a bot, since a grid bot can hold a falling asset if the price leaves the range on the downside.
OKX's own reply to the post repeats that crypto is volatile and that users can lose everything they invest. The Exchange.news OKX code TRADEOFF20 applies to OKX's general signup fee offer; it is not evidence of a discount on grid bot trading specifically.
