A 200 ZEC drop for traders in Europe
OKX has opened a new X Drops Club campaign for its European customers, this time paying rewards in ZEC, the token of the Zcash network. The company announced it on X on 21 October, and its EEA campaign page lists a total pool of 200 ZEC, which OKX valued at roughly €216,000 at the ZEC price shown on 22 October.
X Drops Club is OKX Europe’s rewards programme for featured tokens. Some drops pay people for holding assets and others pay for trading. Although the X post invites users to “hold” the listed tokens, the campaign page sets this one up as a trading campaign: rewards depend on eligible trading volume, not on balances.
When it runs
The campaign page gives the drop period as 8:00 PM on 21 October to 8:00 PM on 26 October 2026 in UTC+8, OKX’s campaign time zone. That is 21 October at 12:00 UTC to 26 October at 12:00 UTC. OKX’s post gives the end as 14:00 CEST, but most of Europe moves its clocks back on 25 October, so the 12:00 UTC close falls at 13:00 in Amsterdam, Paris or Berlin on the final day. Anyone planning last-minute trades should work from 12:00 UTC.
Rewards are calculated and paid daily. According to the page, the first daily distribution began on 22 October at 8:00 PM UTC+8, or 12:00 UTC, and payouts continue each day until the drop ends.
Which trades count
Only volume in a basket of ten tokens counts: ZEC, TAO, LTC, ONDO, LINK, ZRO, LIT, ENA, DOGE and ARB. ZEC volume counts twice and the other nine count once. OKX’s EEA terms call this calculation Mode D, under which trades in tokens outside the basket do not count at all.
The page lists spot trading, spot margin trading with leverage of up to 10×, and the buy, sell and convert features as eligible ways to build volume. The general X Drops terms exclude zero-fee or zero-spread trades and stablecoin swaps. X-Perps and xStocks trades are also excluded because they are regulated under MiFID II. Volume only starts counting once a user has joined the drop, so trades placed earlier in the campaign window do not count.
How rewards are worked out
To qualify, a participant needs at least €500 of eligible trading volume. That threshold is measured on base volume, so the 2× ZEC weighting does not help anyone reach it. Once the minimum is met, the weighting applies to the participant’s share calculation.
Each daily reward equals the participant’s eligible volume, accumulated from joining until that day’s cut-off, divided by the total eligible volume of all participants, multiplied by the day’s reward pool. Each daily reward is capped at 0.2 ZEC per participant, and the FAQ says total earnings depend on how many daily drops a user qualifies for. Rewards are paid automatically to the account, and under the general terms they go to the funding account.
Who can take part, and what is unconfirmed
The terms limit X Drops Club to main-account holders who have passed OKX’s advanced identity verification and who are not OKX employees. Institutional accounts and sub-accounts are excluded. The campaign page adds that the drop may only be available to some users and tells customers to check the drop page itself to see whether they are eligible.
Some details sit behind a logged-in account and could not be checked: the full list of eligible trading pairs and instruments, the link to OKX’s volume explainer (which did not load publicly), how the 200 ZEC is split across the daily drops, and whether a particular account is offered the campaign. Taxes and any fees connected with receiving rewards are the participant’s responsibility under the terms. Trading only to chase a share of the pool still exposes a trader to fees and to price moves in volatile tokens.
