Two updates on one day

RedotPay, the crypto card and payments app, posted two updates on its official X account on 27 October 2026. In the morning it announced that it had passed 9 million users. A few hours later it showed a new shortcut for one of the more tedious parts of sending money: entering a new recipient's account details.

More than 9 million users

The milestone post says RedotPay now has more than 9,000,000 users and thanks them for showing what crypto can do in daily life. The short video attached to it counts up from 8,000,000 to 9,000,000+ under the line that users choose RedotPay. The post does not say how RedotPay counts a user, for example whether that means registered accounts or active ones, and it gives no regional breakdown, so the number is best read as the company's own headline figure.

AI fills in new recipients

The second post is about adding a payment recipient. Instead of typing long account numbers, a user can paste the recipient's details or take a photo of them, and RedotPay's AI fills in the form. The user then reviews the result and saves it. RedotPay pitches this as adding a recipient in about three seconds, with less typing and fewer mistakes.

The 20-second walkthrough shows the Add Recipient screen with Take photo and Paste buttons, a short recognising step, and then a completed form with the name, SWIFT code and account number filled in, ending with a sent transfer. The demo uses a US dollar recipient over SWIFT; RedotPay did not list which currencies, transfer types or countries the feature covers.

Our take

Typing an account number by hand is where many transfer mistakes start, so a tool that reads the details for you can save time. It does not remove the need to check: RedotPay itself tells users to review before saving, and a misread digit in a SWIFT code or account number can still send money to the wrong place. Compare the filled form against the original details, and only photograph documents you are comfortable sharing with the app. RedotPay has not said whether every account has the feature yet, so look for the Paste and Take photo options in the app.
