What SafePal launched
SafePal opened a deposit leaderboard inside SafePal Earn on 26 October 2026, tied to the launch of the Arc network, which it already supports across its app, hardware wallets and browser extension. The campaign runs until 26 November at 09:00 UTC. SafePal's official X account announced it the same morning as a chance to win a USDC-edition wallet, with a 2.0x boost for the Arc vaults.
The prize is a SafePal Limited Edition USDC X1 hardware wallet for each of the top 100 scorers when the leaderboard locks, plus a 10 USDC rebate on Arc once the device is activated. SafePal adds that deposits keep earning the normal vault yield in the meantime, and there is no lock-up, so funds can be withdrawn at any time.
Which vaults count
Ten vaults built on Morpho and curated by Gauntlet and Steakhouse Financial qualify. On Arc there are four, Gauntlet USDC Prime, Steakhouse Prime USDC, Gauntlet EURC Prime and Steakhouse Prime EURC, and each scores at 2.0x. Three Ethereum vaults (Gauntlet USDC Prime, USDT Prime and USDT Core), one Arbitrum vault and two Base vaults from Steakhouse score at the standard 1.0x.
Deposits have to go through the Stake section of the Earn tab in the SafePal app or the campaign page. Opening the same vaults through the app's DApp browser does not count. SafePal says the app must be updated to the latest version to join, and the APY figures it lists are indicative and change over time.
How the score is calculated
Every day at 09:00 UTC SafePal snapshots your net deposited balance in dollars and multiplies it by each vault's multiplier; the daily results are added together until the close. Net balance means principal deposited during the campaign minus principal withdrawn, so money already sitting in SafePal Earn before 26 October does not score, and a withdrawal stops counting from the next snapshot.
For scoring only, USDT counts at $1 and EURC at 1.16 USDC, whatever the market rate. Holdings across several vaults are added up automatically. Each device can win only once, and a tie for 100th place goes to whoever reached the score first.
Costs and conditions on the prize
Winning is not entirely free. Within five business days after the close, winners get an in-app notice, enter a shipping address and pay the shipping fee plus a 10 USDC entry fee, which SafePal says is non-refundable. The 10 USDC rebate only arrives after the X1 is received, paired and set up with a new wallet address, so it offsets the entry fee rather than adding to the prize.
The device ships two to three weeks after redemption, only to countries on SafePal's eligibility list, and any customs fees or import taxes fall on the winner. Rewards that are not claimed within 30 days of the notice expire.
Why timing matters more than size alone
Because the score adds up every day, an early deposit counts for much more than a late one of the same size. In an invented example, 1,000 USDC placed in an Arc vault on the first day and held for 30 days scores about 60,000 points, while 3,000 USDC placed in a 1.0x vault with ten days left scores about 30,000.
Nobody knows in advance what score will reach 100th place, since that depends on everyone else's deposits, so a position can earn yield for a month and still miss the prize.
