A new route into Aave App
Aave App now accepts USDC and USDT deposits through HyperEVM, Aave announced on 13 October 2026. The addition gives holders of those stablecoins on the network another way to fund the consumer savings app. Aave’s announcement concerns incoming transfers: it names two supported assets and the network carrying them.
The announcement was distributed in an official Aave email with an Add Money link to the app. It provides no HyperEVM-specific interest rate, deposit bonus or campaign deadline. This is a funding update, and should not be confused with an announcement that a new Aave borrowing market has opened on HyperEVM.
What the two stablecoins represent
USDC and USDT are stablecoins, digital assets designed to follow the value of a reference currency. Both target the US dollar. Aave’s educational guide places them in the reserve-backed category, where assets held in reserve support the token’s intended value. That is a different mechanism from an algorithmic stablecoin, which adjusts supply through programmed rules.
The distinction helps explain what a savings deposit starts with. Holding a dollar-linked token is a way to hold and transfer dollar-denominated value; it does not, on its own, generate lending interest. Aave’s guide describes supplying and borrowing as separate uses of stablecoins in decentralised finance. Moving the asset and putting it to work are different activities.
For readers comparing funding options, the useful questions are therefore what asset they hold and what they intend to do with it. A stablecoin’s price target describes its design, rather than a promised investment return. The savings product adds another set of conditions to that starting asset.
HyperEVM and the cost of sending
HyperEVM runs Ethereum-compatible smart contracts, programs executed on a blockchain, within Hyperliquid. Its official documentation identifies the main network with chain ID 999. A chain ID distinguishes one blockchain environment from another; the test network uses 998. Selecting the production network matters when transferring assets with real value.
HYPE is HyperEVM’s native gas token. Gas is the charge for processing an operation on the network. In a wallet that pays those charges directly, a stablecoin balance and a gas balance serve different purposes. Having USDC available to send is therefore not the same as having the HYPE needed to process a transaction.
Hyperliquid also documents transfers between HyperCore and HyperEVM separately. A balance associated with Hyperliquid should not automatically be treated as a balance on the required sending network. The relevant check is where the tokens currently sit. The network documentation explains this infrastructure; it does not publish Aave App’s deposit instructions or quote the final cost of a particular transfer.
How the savings account and fees fit together
Aave’s app FAQ says deposited funds are supplied to Aave and lent to borrowers, whose interest payments generate earnings. Interest compounds, meaning earned interest becomes part of the balance earning further interest. The savings rate is variable and depends on region and account eligibility. The new transfer route does not lock in a future return.
The FAQ distinguishes several costs. It states there are no recurring subscription fees or fees based on assets under management, meaning a recurring charge calculated from the balance held. It also says external stablecoin withdrawals may carry a fee, and Aave Labs may retain a difference between the underlying earnings and the rate paid to users. These disclosures do not establish that a sending wallet or exchange charges nothing.
Access remains subject to the app’s rollout: its public page offers iOS early access and an Android and web waitlist. Optional Balance Protection applies to eligible customers under its terms and is explicitly described as not insurance. Readers should assess those account conditions alongside the newly available network, rather than treating deposit support as universal access to every app feature.
