Optimism joins the Aave App deposit routes
Aave App, the consumer savings app from Aave Labs, now accepts USDC and USDT sent from Optimism. Aave announced the change on its official X account on 28 October 2026, saying the deposits are live in the mobile app, and pointed readers to aave.com/app to get started.
Optimism is the latest in a run of funding additions. Earlier this month the app added the same two stablecoins from HyperEVM and then from Monad. Each update gives people who already hold dollar stablecoins on that network a direct way to move them into the app, without first bridging them somewhere else. The post names only the two tokens and the network: it does not mention a separate rate, a deposit bonus or an end date. When sending from another wallet or an exchange, pick Optimism as the network so the tokens arrive where the app expects them.
What the announcement does not say
Aave's post is short. It names the two tokens and the network and links to the app page, and that is all. There is no Optimism-specific rate, no deposit bonus, no minimum amount and no end date in the announcement, so none should be assumed. The savings rate and eligibility rules are the app's usual ones, and they are worth checking inside the app on the day you deposit, because savings rates can change.
The practical change is the funding route. Someone holding USDC or USDT on Optimism, for example after using an app or exchange that pays out there, can now send it straight into Aave App instead of bridging to one of the earlier supported networks first.
Our take
For anyone already holding stablecoins on Optimism, this removes a bridging step and its extra fees. It is a convenience update rather than a better deal: the rate and terms are the same whichever network the money comes from.
