New sending addresses for every withdrawal
Binance has changed the wallets it sends withdrawals from. In a post on its official X account at 06:53 UTC on 1 November 2026 (07:53 in Amsterdam), the exchange said that "as part of our ongoing security response" it has added newly generated wallet addresses to its list of Proof of Reserves addresses. It added that "all withdrawals will be processed from these new wallet addresses" from now on.
The post quotes Recovery Update #4, in which Binance scheduled phase one of its withdrawal restart for 1 November between 06:00 and 09:00 (UTC). Binance did not give further detail on the new wallets in the post, and Exchange.news does not reproduce any wallet address. The Proof of Reserves list is the set of Binance addresses the exchange publishes so that its holdings can be checked against customer balances.
Where the withdrawal restart stands
The change comes while withdrawals are reopening in stages. At 06:20 UTC Binance said the first batch network now opened in phase one is the Bitcoin network. Binance Customer Support said in a reply on X at 06:59 UTC that withdrawals are being restored in phases with the Bitcoin network first, that other supported assets and networks will follow progressively once ready, and that users should check the withdrawal page for the latest availability.
Binance has not yet confirmed which network opens next. The full zero-knowledge Proof of Reserves report, which Binance has said it expects by Tuesday 3 November (UTC), is still pending. Our earlier stories on Recovery Update #4 and the Bitcoin-first reopening have the background.
What this means for your withdrawals
If you withdraw from Binance now, the funds will arrive from one of the new wallet addresses rather than from the ones Binance used before the incident. That is what Binance has announced, not a sign that something is wrong with your withdrawal.
If you want to confirm that an address belongs to Binance, rely only on the official Proof of Reserves page on Binance's own website, which Binance linked in its post. Do not trust addresses shared in replies, private messages or posts from other accounts. Check the withdrawal page on Binance for whether your asset and network are open yet. Exchange.news will report the next batches when Binance confirms them.
