Kraken arrives inside ChatGPT
Kraken now has its own app in ChatGPT. The exchange announced the launch on its official X account on 22 October 2026 and linked directly to the Kraken listing in ChatGPT's app directory, where users can add it to their conversations.
The pitch is simple: instead of digging through order history or exporting statements, a client can type a plain question about their account and get an answer in the chat. Kraken's own examples are a daily profit check and a question about where money was lost during the current month.
Two levels of access
The app works in two modes. Market information, meaning prices, charts and crypto news, is available to anyone without signing in to Kraken. Questions about a personal portfolio require connecting a Kraken account to ChatGPT first.
Kraken stresses that this account connection is read-only. ChatGPT can look at balances and activity to answer questions, but it cannot place trades or move money out of the account. Any order or withdrawal still has to be made in Kraken's own apps.
What to keep in mind
The launch artwork shows a Kraken card inside ChatGPT summarising a month's profit by asset. The figures in it are labelled as illustrative, and the card carries the line that the data comes from Kraken while the analysis is done by ChatGPT and is not reviewed by Kraken. Readers should treat the answers as a convenient summary rather than an official statement, and check tax or accounting figures against Kraken's own reports.
Kraken has not yet published a help article with country availability, supported account types or how long the connection stays active. Connecting an exchange account to an AI assistant also shares portfolio data with that service, so it is worth reviewing which permissions you grant and disconnecting the app when you no longer use it.
