What Phantom launched
Phantom, the self-custodial crypto wallet, has added a Top Traders view to its mobile app. In a post on its official X account on 23 October 2026, the company said users can see the top 100 traders on Phantom and scroll through their open positions, closed trades and balance history. The list sits under the Trade tab, then Top Traders. Phantom did not say in the post how traders are ranked.
Copying a trade, once
Phantom’s help article on Live Trades explains what users can do with what they see there. From Live Trades, Top Traders or Top Trades, a user can tap Copy on a spot or perp trade. For a spot trade, the token’s buy page opens with nothing filled in. For a perp trade, the market, direction, auto-close triggers and leverage are filled in, and the user enters the amount.
This is not automatic copy trading. Copying is a one-time action: the original trader’s later changes, exits and new trades are not mirrored, so the copier manages the position alone. Phantom also warns that the copier’s entry price can differ from the original trader’s, so results can be better or worse.
Risks and regional limits
Many positions on a leaderboard like this are leveraged perps. Phantom’s perps guide says they are not available in the United States, the United Kingdom and other territories, that leverage can wipe out all the margin committed to a position, and that the minimum order is 10.25 USDC. Past results on the list say nothing about future returns.
