ether.fi refunds bank deposit fees for Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members until 31 December

What ether.fi announced

ether.fi is covering the cost of moving money from a bank into its Cash app for its higher membership levels. In a post on its official X account at 18:24 UTC on Monday 2 November 2026 (19:24 in Amsterdam), the company said "Bank deposits are on us": until 31 December, Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members get their bank deposit fees refunded.

The offer is not limited to one rail. ether.fi listed ACH, wire, SEPA, PIX and Faster Payments "and more", so it covers US, European, Brazilian and UK bank transfers among others. For VIP members the refund applies to up to $150,000 a month. The post links to a promotion page inside the ether.fi Cash app.

What the fees normally are

ether.fi's help centre publishes the funding fees that the refund offsets. A USD ACH deposit costs $0.50 plus 0.10%, and a USD domestic wire or SWIFT transfer costs $20.00 plus 0.10%. EUR SEPA into USDC costs €0.90 plus 0.15%, or a flat €0.90 into EURC, and GBP Faster Payments costs £0.90 plus 0.20% FX. The help centre adds that these fees do not depend on membership level and are shown in the app before you confirm a transfer.

On a $10,000 ACH deposit that is $10.50, and on a $10,000 wire it is $30.00, so the saving matters most for people moving larger sums in by wire.

Who qualifies and what is still unclear

Core, the free starting level, is not part of the offer. According to ether.fi's membership guide, Luxe costs $199 a year and Pinnacle $999 a year if you buy them, or you can reach them with $15,000 or $100,000 held in Liquid, 30,000 or 150,000 staked ETHFI, or membership points. VIP is earn-only and needs $500,000 in Liquid, 500,000 staked ETHFI or enough points.

The announcement does not say how much Luxe and Pinnacle members can deposit before the refund stops, whether fees are refunded instantly or later, or whether FX conversion costs on currencies such as GBP count as part of the fee. Check the promotion page in the app before you send a large transfer.

Our take

For existing Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members this is a simple saving for the next two months, especially on wires, where the fixed $20 charge adds up. It is not a reason on its own to buy a membership: $199 a year only pays for itself on deposit fees if you move a lot of money in by wire before the end of December.
