What changed
fomo said on its official X account on 19 October 2026 that Perps Trader Rewards are now live. The post lists three steps: trade perps, share your thesis and earn Trader Rewards. In fomo's words, perp ideas have value, and for the first time users can be rewarded for sharing them.
On 29 October 2026 fomo grouped the feature with two other recent perps updates, perps on web and cross margin, under the line "The future of perps is social."
How the rewards work
fomo introduced Trader Rewards for spot trading on 28 August 2026, with the pitch "Back your thesis. Prove your edge. Get paid." A thesis is the short note a fomo user posts to explain why they took a trade.
fomo's release notes for 17 to 26 October say these rewards have now expanded beyond spot. According to fomo, users earn more by trading actively, posting their thesis and building a following.
What fomo has not said
fomo's posts and release notes do not say how much the rewards pay, how they are calculated, when they are paid or in which asset. They also do not mention regional limits, so check whether fomo offers perps in your country before you trade.
Our take
Paying traders to explain their positions fits fomo's social trading model, and it may make perps feeds more useful to read. But a reward is no reason to open a leveraged trade. Perps can wipe out a position quickly, so size trades for the risk first and treat any reward as a bonus.
