fomo brings perps to the web after 52,000 traders and $7.2 billion on mobile

Perps leave the phone

fomo announced on 24 October (UTC) that perps are now on web. Until now the product lived only in the mobile app, where it launched in June. fomo web, the browser version of the app that arrived in April, now carries it too.

In the same post fomo put numbers on the mobile launch: since perps went live in June, more than 52,000 traders have traded over $7.2 billion in volume. It also said all 290+ perp markets can now be traded from one account, on any screen.

Same account, bigger chart

fomo’s own site frames the web version as a continuation of the app rather than a separate product: open a trade on the phone and close it on the desktop. With perps included, that now covers leveraged positions as well.

The launch video shows the web layout: a Bitcoin perp chart in the centre, a market list on the left and an order panel on the right with long and short buttons, a leverage setting and take-profit and stop-loss controls. For traders who manage several positions, a larger screen is the practical gain.

What sits underneath

When perps launched in June, fomo said they are powered by Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ]. Perpetuals are leveraged contracts, so a fast price move can liquidate a position and wipe out the margin behind it.

Not for U.S. users

In a follow-up post, fomo repeated the restriction that applies to its perps: “Not available in the U.S. or to U.S. persons.” The announcement does not list other excluded countries and does not mention fee changes tied to the web release.
