What fomo launched

fomo announced on its official X account on 2 November 2026 that TWAP orders are now available on fomo perps, its perpetual futures product. In fomo's words, the order automatically splits your trade into smaller orders over time, from 5 minutes to 7 days.

TWAP stands for time-weighted average price. Instead of sending one large order that fills at whatever price the market offers in that moment, the order is cut into slices that go out one after another across the period you choose. The result is an entry or exit price closer to the average over that window.

What the demo shows

The short video attached to the post shows TWAP as an order type in the perps panel, next to the Long and Short buttons and the isolated and cross margin switch. A duration picker offers quick buttons for 5 minutes, 4 hours, 1 day and 7 days, or a custom value in days, hours and minutes.

Before you confirm, the panel lists the suborder size, which is the size of each slice, together with an estimated margin and an estimated fee. The demo position uses 20x leverage, the same setting fomo shows for regular perps orders.

What fomo has not said

fomo has not said how often slices are sent within a chosen duration, whether a TWAP order can be cancelled midway, whether it is available on both mobile and web, or whether fees differ from a normal order. It also did not mention regional limits.

Our take

TWAP orders are a tool professional traders use to avoid moving the price against themselves, and it is useful to see them in a social trading app. They do not reduce risk on their own, though. A leveraged position that is built slowly is still leveraged, and over seven days the market can move far from where you started. Check the estimated margin and fee in the panel, and size the whole order as if it filled at once.
